There has been rumors that if there'll be no night race in Albert Park in 2009, Eastern Creek might replace it but what do you think??? For me I hope it'll be Melbourne as it's longer & more challenging than Eastern Creek.

Melbourne, easily. But they have a contract until 2010, so it won't change before then. If I had my way it'd be Adelaide street circuit.

Albert Park

Reasons:

It's a alright street race.

It's close to the centre of a vibrant Melbourne CBD.

It's liked by all who attend.

It's picture perfect.

Great pulic transport.

It has history.

Eastern Creek :thbdn:

The track is good for V8's but Formula One NO!!

Correct me if I'm wrong but the track is in the middle of nowhere in relation to the Sydney CBD.

It has no good public transport system attached.

It's in New South Wales :P

Melbourne.

Aussief1's blackmail,again. :P And I don't know the other track.

And Albert Park is where every season should start.

The thing about Eastern Creek is that it is too small for forumla 1 BUT it is in the middle of a very large farm area which means there is a tonne of room for expansion if the NSW governemtn wants to spend the money. Afew years ago Eastern Creek was in the middle of a rural area but not anymore as the government built a massive motorway only 10 minutes from the track so getting people to the event shouldnt be a problem.

I'd go with Melbourne too.

Eastern Creek doesn't make for too much overtaking, certainly with the V8s anyway)

---

Just don't see any reason to change it.

But i'd rather have an Aus GP over no Aud GP, so i'd have EC in that case.

Albert Park, hands down. Further, it should always kick off the season.

Instead of looking back to old traditions, we should preserve the ones that we currently have. Melbourne to start the season and Japan (ideally Suzuka...Fuji is crap) to finish it.

You're right, I wonder why Suzuka was scrapped in the 1st place as it was next to Spa as 1 of the most challenging F1 circuits.

I'm from Sydney, but fully agree. Keep it in Melbourne.

Nah I am all for BATHURST.

Reasons: best track in OZ

Think of the Challenge for the "Sparkies" to light up this track, would bring out the best in the Aussies

How about the spin off with V8's racing at night ??? gotta be awesome

All tongue in cheek but surely COULD be possible

It would be an awesome spectacle indeed. Pity it will never happen though :(

It would be great to see how F1 teams set up their cars at Bathurst as not many tracks have such a difference between different parts of the track. The bottom half of the circuit is extremely fast but the top half is very slow and twisty.

Not a bad idea! We could use Melbourne as the Australian GP & Eastern Creek as the Pacific GP, but like most people are saying it still might be a bit too short for F1!
