Bmw M1 Concept

Recommended Posts

The M1 was one of my favorite bimmers! I was wondering when they would bring it back!

Asking you a question and I hope you give me a honest reply.

Do you really thing that concept is as good as the original M1? Don't you think its just so flashy?

Lambos, Ferraris and Porshces are the best looking mid engined cars.

But to be honest, I just love its front| :D

How about this?

I like the retro wire spoke wheels.

Or this:

That thing looks like a LM prototype for the road!

No, the original is definitely the best. But they cant bring back the exact same thing and this one would be a worthy successor in my opinion.

The Maser would be hot if it wasn't for the huge grille...

The Aston is pretty cool. I still prefer less edgy lines in cars, though.

http://www.worldcarfans.com/2060927.008/new-audi-r8-unveiled, I guess its the best looking Mid engined car in recent times. I don't think that Aston will be out soon.

I love the Maser!!! :o

Yet another example of how car companies waste money that could be better spent funding non-oil running vehicles.

Such as Beemers fantastic hydrogen engines...

Concept cars that will never see the light of day are more pathetic then Max Mosley, and thats saying something...

The original M1 was a masterpiece designed by Giugiaro and assembled by Lambo at Italy... the new one is another soon-to-be-forget-concept car as 99,9 % of nowadays concepts...

Except that it was never assembled by Lambo. The BMW concepts often showcase upcoming design features, so nope they're not completely useless.

Most Porsches are not mid engined, they're either front engined (Cayenne the biggest seller) or rear engined 911 (and rear engined is not the same as mid engined), only the Boxter/Cayman are mid engined.

Yeah, I know 911s are mostly rear engined, but just that I classify it among other mid engined cars, since there is no other car that has an engine on its bum in production...well, to my knowledge! :P

The 911 is a rear engined car, Cayman/Boxter is a mid-rear engined car.

2 different things.

The 911 can in no way be called a mid engined car as it's engine is after the rear axle not in between the 2 axles (only by placing the engine between the driver and the rear axle can it be called a mid-rear engined car).

Not crazy about the wheels on the M1 concept. If Spiderman had a car, this would be it. All it needs is the red/blue paint scheme and some black webbing.

 I must admit I have a soft spot for BMW.

The Aston is quite cool too.

That isn't. I hate it.

Supercars should NOT have grilles.

And I just hate BMW in general.

I'm with Dave on this, that car looks OK to me, I've seen nicer. BMW just aren't sexy enough I'm afraid, they haven't got the beauty and finesse of say Ferrari, or Aston Martin, no amount of processing power in the world can substitute for an Italian with some crayons. Still wouldn't mind giving it a spin though...

Lovely machine...

Yeah I like that too, but I'd prefer it all one color. They had an all-white one on a TV show the other night, and it was really nice looking.
