It'd become a bike race.

 Actually I like that! The tour de france is great fun, full of even fitter and more dedicated athletes imho. (Pity about the drugs!) It's surely better for the female fan base too...

5) An I am still with you 100% Rubinho. May you have more years of a not too bright but very honorable career.

Bah you just have a soft spot for whiners. :P

PS I have an autograph from Rubinho and he did always seem like a nice guy to me.

Might be true, for I have a soft spot for Nando, Rubinho, Trulli and Webber. But Liuzzi was no whiner! No winner either, not even a weiner... :eusa_think:

Now you have an autograph from the guy that has the longest F1 career. See? In the end he beat Schumi somehow!

Eep... I'm in to clean shaven but not oven-ready turkey... besides, cycling, lots of sweat, tight clothing and steroids are somewhat of a recipe for disaster in the manhood department.

Pointless and boring anecdote from El Meanioni: Rubens almost ran me over once in Silverstone pit lane in an F1 testing. He was motoring along on a scooter and I walked out in front of him, not looking where I was going.

He smiled and seemed quite nice about it even though I had been a pain in the a*se.

Really???

Me too!!!

Just kidding! Nice story!I'm sure Rubens is a nice guy and an excellent driver, but he was at the right place, the wrong time!I'm not so sure if he, as no1 driver could have become WDC though!Often he would lapse in performance and he was never quite up there with MS in his best days anyway.

This doesn't surprise me. He had years of Michael being in front of him, being a pain in the a*se. One more person surely made no difference.

Really? JPM almost mowed me down with his scooter the year before he came into F1 (CART series, Fontana California race). I was taking pictures and he came up on my peripheral and would have run right into me if not for fellow TF1 poster YodaMcFly pulling me out of the way. I've still got the picture I took with JPM coming into the frame, stage left. It's a bit blurry because he didn't bother to slow down. <_<

Michael who?

Indy 05 would've made me quit F1, to be honest. Good thing I wasn't watching back then; they got an entire year of my money. Well, not really. I personally spent $0 on Bernie Ecclestone, but...

Yeah, well, if Tony Stewart rode a motor scooter (that'd be fun to watch), and if I had jumped in front of him, and if he hadn't seen me, I would've been run over by a driver on a motor scooter, too, last year at Pocono Raceway.

Anyway, motor scooters and Fontana...always reminds me of Greg Moore :( *

*For those of you who didn't get the privilege of Paul Page and didn't know, Moore broke a few bones in his wrist in a motor scooter accident in the paddock on the morning of his accident.

I never knew that, thanks Eric ;)

Finally another one of those famous Meanioni's anecdotes!

I once crashed against a street poster (I was not looking where I was walking) and the guy in the poster looked a lot like Yuji Ide. Or perhaps not.

:D Nice story. Yep I really was almost a tyre warmer on Rubi's scooter (he was in Jordan then).

Damon Hill was testing then too and he was lovely - such a nice guy and very friendly/accommodating to the fans who were there. Coulthard was his team mate at the time and was testing too - he was an arrogant a*se that day - he spent all his time posing/being grumpy.
