Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen is rumoured to be returning to his former side Sauber for the 2019 season.

Ferrari look almost certain to replace Kimi Raikkonen's seat in time for next season, with Sauber's Charles Leclerc rumoured to be a target for the Italians.

Raikkonen says it is "up to the team" whether he stays at Ferrari next season.

Swiss newspaper Blick reports that Raikkonen could be tempted by Sauber, where 17 years ago - he started his Formula 1 career.

Ferrari insider Leo Turrini wants Ferrari to offer Raikkonen a new deal at the team.

"We have Ferrari's best duo for over 25 years," he said to Sky Italia.

"We also have a car that is still developing and a team that works brilliantly together."

Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel is eight points clear in the drivers' championship, ahead of Lewis Hamilton but Vettel insists that there is no time for complacency in the title race.

"Lewis is strong," Vettel told Bild.

"And we can't completely forget Red Bull. What matters to me is that we are constantly devloping, and we are."

Vettel was then asked if 2018 is his time for a world title and he responded:

"I don't know. It's too early to predict that.

"But I don't think we should overestimate anything just because we won a supposed Mercedes route (Silverstone).

"It would be different if we were a second ahead of the others but we are not. It will take a while before the job is done."
