Pierre Gasly reveals that he "enjoyed" his battle with Sergio Perez, that was consequently penalised.

Toro Rosso driver Pierre Gasly says he "enjoyed" the battle with Force India driver Sergio Perez, before he reveived a penalty for the incident.

Gasly was fuming following the five-second penalty he received.

The Frenchman described the penalty decision as "bullshit" as it dropped him out of the top ten with not long to go.

Gasly has been speaking to the press ahead of this weekend's Hockenheim Grand Prix, and whilst the driver has calmed down a bit, he admits he is still "gutted" about the decision made by the Silverstone stewards.

"In the end I am happy with the move I have done," Gasly told RaceFans.net.

"As I said to Sergio and to the stewards, I enjoyed it.

"They said 'what did you think about it?', I said 'I really enjoyed the battle.'"

Gasly believes that there have been similar incidents to his that haven't been punished by the stewards.

"For me, it was clear, I accept, but I still think the penalty was useless. Especially with the other crashes - OK, give me five seconds, then give five seconds to all the other incidents we had since the beginning of the year.

"In Austria, I got hit in the first lap, I took half my floor and the back out of my car and nothing happened. For me, OK, there was no penalty, fair enough, but don't give me a penalty for such a little thing."
