Day Two of testing the Pirelli tyres was concluded by Sebastian Vettel and Valtteri Bottas driving at the Circuit Paul Ricard.

Pirelli carried out two days of testing to try and aid their 2019 development on their prototype slick compounds.

The testing was at the Circuit Paul Ricard in France, and Ferrari and Mercedes were the two sides in action.

We saw Charles Leclerc make his Scuderia debut yesterday, where he drove 129 laps in the SF71-H; which is more than double of what F1 drivers covered in the French Grand Prix a couple of months ago.

Leclerc then handed responsibilities to current Ferrari star Vettel, who is locked in an intense world championship battle with Lewis Hamilton, and the German completed 121 laps in his Ferrari on the second day.

Unlike Ferrari, Mercedes stuck with the same driver for the two testing days and Bottas completed 102 laps yesterday and drove 10 laps more today.

Pirelli testing is separate to the official Formula 1 testing, with all teams invited to participate at various test days throughout the season.

However, none of the teams know what compounds they are using and the test programs are outlined by Pirelli, and no testing of new parts is allowed.
