Pierre Gasly will be teammates with the very talented Max Verstappen next season and the Frenchman is looking forward to the challenge that this will provide him.

Although Gasly is 18 months older than his Dutch teammate the Frenchman is going into only his second season so will be looking to the greatly more experienced Verstappen for guidance.

"I'm still only going to be in my second season of Formula 1 so there are still a lot of things to learn and I still need to develop myself," Gasly told Sky Sports News.

"But I know I'm quick, I need to make the best out of my skills and my qualities but also work on all the areas I can improve."

Gasly will be looking to learn from Verstappen and hopefully the two will be competitive in terms of the championship. When speaking about being teammates with Verstappen Gasly said:

"We will see how it goes against Max. He is one of the most talented drivers at the moment, it's always good to be next to a competitive guy, and I'll give him the hardest time I can and then try to develop as much as possible as a driver. We'll see the result I get next year."

Red Bull link up with Honda next season and Gasly will be hoping that his season with them last year with Torro Rosso will help Red Bull return to the top of the constructors' championship.
