Official Ferrari document confirming Arrivabene's departure
Ferrari has now confirmed Mattia Binotto will replace Maurizio Arrivabene as Ferrari's team principal next season. This follows a year in which change was familiar at Scuderia. 2018 brought another unsuccessful season for Scuderia despite seemingly having the dominant car on the grid. Mercedes came back and comfortably clinched the title a race early. Vital mistakes on track, and in the strategy department are enough for the bosses to make serious changes.
The Ferrari press has confirmed the departure of Maurizio Arrivabene. They've also confirmed Mattia Binotto will come in to fulfil the role for the 2019 season as they look to challenge Mercedes.
This morning, rumours emerged from La Gazzetta dello Sport that the event would happen. The Italian seemingly had the best car in the early stages of last season and had opportunities to be closer to Mercedes in the past.
