Claire Williams announces conservative goals for 2019 season

2018 was devastating the Williams team, family and fans as they watched their cars underperform throughout the season. Martini left the team, but with ROKiT the new title sponsor, the British based team have the chance to bounce back.

Between them, Lance Stroll and Sergey Sirotkin scored just seven points. On the day they unveiled how their 2019 challenger would look, Claire Williams wasn't exactly aiming high.

"Last season was very tough for us. It is very painful for every team to be in our situation. However, nobody left our team during the winter and that says something about how strong Williams is as a team. None of us wants to relive 2018. Our goal is therefore also to make progress," Williams said during the reveal.

"As a team, you do not just drop out to P10 if you do not have any weak points. We have worked very hard, but it will be a long journey. Paddy worked very hard to put the right people in the right places and I am convinced that we have the right tools to walk the right path again. However, we only know in Melbourne where we really are," concluded the boss of the British team.

We'll see the new Williams on track in the first pre-season test of 2019 on February 18.
