Ferrari's 2019 F1 car completes first track outing

Ferrari's 2019 Formula 1 car has completed its maiden track outing in Barcelona ahead of the start of pre-season testing.

The SF90 - which was unveiled on Friday in Maranello - turned its first laps around the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya with four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel at the wheel as Ferrari carried out a filming day.

Ferrari's 2019 F1 car completes first track outing

Ferrari's 2019 Formula 1 car has completed its maiden track outing in Barcelona ahead of the start of pre-season testing.

Vettel completed the bulk of the running in Ferrari's latest F1 challenger before handing over to new teammate Charles Leclerc, who got his first taste of driving the 2019 car towards the end of the day.

Ferrari was restricted to 100km of running and ran on demonstration tyres as per the regulations, using up one of its two promotional days in the process.

Vettel will get back behind the wheel of the SF90 when the opening day of the first pre-season test gets underway on Monday morning. He will then alternate days for the rest of the week's testing duties with Leclerc.
