Former Williams driver Sergey Sirotkin has revealed his opinion on Formula E has completely changed following his involvement with Mahindra.

Sirotkin spent 2018 in Formula 1, but was in the worst car on the grid in the Williams. The Russian only recorded one point all season with the struggling British team and as a consequence was replaced by George Russell.

The driver has kept a connection in F1, though, driving as a reserve driver for Renault for the 2019 season. Sitrokin has also tested for Mahindra in Formula E and now believes the all-electric series could be an attractive destination for himself in the future.

"Yeah, I mean I really enjoyed it to be honest," Sirotkin said on Formula E. "Honestly I was never a fan of the series before, but those two weeks I worked around this project - preparing for the testing, doing the testing and then doing some analysis after - it's really changed my opinion completely the opposite way round.

"I left Marrakech with a very strong impression about actually how good the car is, how much fun it is to drive, how good it is as a series in terms of the racing - like a general approach - so honestly I was quite impressed."
