Pierre Gasly and Robert Kubica have revealed that they could not see the starting lights during the start of the Australian Grand Prix. The FIA has heard these complaints and will look to fix the issue, which is thought to be caused by the larger rear wings, in time for the Bahrain Grand Prix.

"an unintended consequence of the larger rear wing this year. We are working on a solution for the rest of the year starting at the Bahrain Grand Prix."

Both Gasly and Kubica seemed to have problems seeing the lights.

"I could not see the traffic light," explains Gasly, who started in 17th. "All I could do was react when the cars started around me and that cost me a couple of positions."

Kubica also had the same issue:

"It was my first stalwart start in eight years and four months, the last one was in Abu Dhabi in 2010. That was fine, even though I was panicking at first because I could not see the traffic light! "

"The rear wing of the McLaren [by Carlos Sainz] obscured the traffic lights, I could only see the first block, but not the rest," says Kubica, who had to tilt his head all the way to the left to see anything. "That was a bit of panic at the moment," he admits.

The FIA will look to sort the problem in time for the Bahrain Grand Prix.
