Codemasters teams up with Alonso for new GRID game

Fernando Alonso will be a consultant to Codemasters for the game studios new GRID game. The Spaniard will be Race Consultant and help direct the performance and handling of cars.

GRID Game Director at Codemasters Chris Smith said that the partnership was a huge win for the series, adding that the game would be developed by "one of the world's greatest racing drivers."

"Renowned for its handling, the game will appeal to all types of player, from casual drivers who want a lean-in challenge, to sim drivers who want some serious fun," Smith said.

We are also delighted to work alongside Fernando Alonso who is arguably one of the world’s greatest ever drivers.

"His experience and knowledge has enabled us to make improvements to both the performance and handling of our cars. We could not be more proud to have signed him both in-game and as a Race Consultant.

Alonso added he was very much looking forward to being a part of the development of the game as well as see his own racing team be included in the title.
