Racing Point are one of the many teams that make up Formula 1's ever competitive midfield. Sitting in 6th in the constructor's championship the team hopes that the upgrades that they have lined up will help them push Renault and McLaren for the position of 'best of the rest.' Having taken over from Force India this season the team has performed well but they will look to improve further.

"This weekend's race in France means we’ve already done a third of the season," team boss Szafnauer said to MotorSportWeek. "We’re sitting in sixth place in the championship and have scored points in five out of seven races.

"We have taken some good steps forward with the car since the start of the year and there are plenty more upgrades in the pipeline too.

"When the middle of the grid is separated by tenths of a second, you’ve got to bring performance steps to the track as soon as you can and that’s our focus in the lead up to the summer break."

Racing Point will hope that the upgrades that they will implement will improve their performance and that they can continue to be a force in the midfield.
