Binotto: Paul Ricard doesn't suit Ferrari's car

Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto says the Paul Ricard circuit doesn't suit the design of the Ferrari SF90.
Sebastian Vettel was racing for the win in Canada until a five-second time penalty for an unsafe re-entry to the track following a mistake cost him the race to Lewis Hamilton.
Having looked to have made serious progress at the Canadian Grand Prix on a circuit that played up Ferrari's strengths, particularly the straight-line speed performance, the Scuderia boss has downplayed expectations ahead of the French Grand Prix.
Despite taking the fight to Mercedes at the previous round, Binotto says he doesn't expect the same level of performance from the car, explaining that the circuit doesn't suit the team's car in the same ways.
He also added that the team would be bringing some updates but claimed they would be on a smaller scale than those seen at the race in Montreal.
“We will have a few small evolutions,” Binotto said.
“What we will be bringing won’t be the solution to our problems, but the technical feedback we get from these evolutions will be important for the next steps we take.
“Paul Ricard has been a tricky circuit for us last year and we know that this kind of track isn’t particularly favourable for our package, but nothing is impossible.”
