Charles Leclerc has called for more consistency from the stewards ahead of this weekend's British Grand Prix following Max Verstappen's controversial move on him in the last race in Austria.

Leclerc was leading the race before the Red Bull caught him with a few laps to go, forcing the Ferrari wide at turn three. The incident was subject to an investigation that went on for hours, but the result stood and Leclerc has to wait for his first Grand Prix win.

The Monegasque revealed at Silverstone that he is happy for moves like Verstappen's to be made, but wants F1's stewards to stay consistent.

According to planetf1.com, Leclerc told reporters at Silverstone: “I don’t have any problems and it was very easy for me to move on.

“The only thing is that I would like maybe a bit more consistency.

“There have been some other incidents in the past, which have been smaller in a way and that have been penalised.

“If we can race that way, then I’m more than happy to race that way.

“I think it’s good for Formula 1, I think this is what us drivers want.

“We just need to know what we can expect from the others, and on that, I think that’s why I would like probably more consistency on the penalties.”
