It has been an impressive 2019 so far for Max Verstappen at Red Bull with two race wins, a maiden F1 pole and third in the Drivers' Championship, the Dutchman can be very satisfied with his showing.

Verstappen started the season by coming third in Melbourne and has grown and shown the maturity that we haven't seen in previous years.

He became the first person to beat Mercedes in 2019 when he won the Austrian Grand Prix and he made it two wins in three races when he won at the Hockenheimring. He went on to secure his first-ever pole in Hungary rounding off a successful first half of the season.

The Dutchman has been reflecting on his season so far and still feels there is room for improvement despite the high standards he has set.

"That's pretty good, but it could always be better. I think we got the maximum out of most of the races and I'm comfortable in the car. Now we want to win more races," Verstappen said on the team's development to the Red Bull website.

Verstappen won in Austria in front of loads of adoring fans, something he is very grateful for.

"It's phenomenal to enjoy such support. This will give you so much energy, so much positivity. I was delighted to be able to give something back to the fans with my second win in a row in Austria," he added.
