Lando Norris: "I look forward to driving a nice Mercedes on the road!"

McLaren have revealed that they will be using the Mercedes power unit from 2021 and Lando Norris is hoping that there is a good deal in this for the drivers. Norris is hoping to be given a Mercedes as a company car but is not getting too excited about the deal as it doesn't change their current situation.  

"I look forward to driving a nice Mercedes on the road!" Norris said to Sky Sports F1. "Apart from that, the deal is more for the future. It's something nice to look forward to but it does nothing for our current situation so it's not worth getting too excited about." 

Norris starts the Russian Grand Prix from 7th and is looking forward to the race. 

"We made some good improvements overnight and we can look forward to the race with a more positive note. The main thing tomorrow is to try and get past Nico Hulkenberg so we can get the maximum points. Apart from that I'll just try and enjoy it."

McLaren have been one of the most improved teams this season and will hope that the Mercedes Power Unit in 2021 is the final ingredient to their return to the top of Formula 1.
