Nyck De Vries: "Our goal is to participate in the front as quickly as possible"

Nyck de Vries is not expecting much from his first season in Formula E. The Dutch racer has joined Mercedes' Formula E team in what is both of their debut seasons in the sport. Expectations are realistic but there is an ambition to get to the front as soon as possible. 

"It is very difficult to predict where we will be soon because we have not been able to compete with the competition once. So it is only guessing and impossible to really express expectations," De Vries said to GPUpdate.net.

"Of course, our goal is to participate in the front as quickly as possible. Formula E is a super competitive class, a class where dominance does not really exist.

"It's a challenge for all of us. For Mercedes as a newcomer and for me as a rookie in the championship. We want to move forward as quickly as possible, but it's still too early to make predictions."

It will be interesting to see how well the Mercedes team and De Vries perform. If their Formula 1 team is anything to go by, in a few seasons they will be totally dominant.
