All the seats have now been decided for next season, but the battle for reserve driver at many teams are still to be decided. Pietro Fittipaldi is a contender to take the role at Haas having already driven for the team on several test days earlier this year.

One problem for the 23-year-old is that he lacks a super license but he is looking to be more involved with the team next year.

“The super license is, of course, something we are working on. As soon as I have one, I would like to become a reserve driver for the team, but we look at it step by step," Fittipaldi said after the test in Abu Dhabi.

The Brazilian drove in the DTM this year but was only able to finish in 15th, meaning he didn't collect any points for his license.

"I only need four points, so after one free practice I already have enough points."
