Honda reflect on 2019 and look for more success in 2020

In 2019 Honda supplied both Red Bull Racing and Toro Rosso with their power units. Working for two teams came with challenges but Toyoharu Tanabe is pleased overall with how things went over the season. 

“It was, of course, a challenge; More staff and more engines. So far, it went really well for both teams. I asked the staff working on the circuits what we can improve next year. We use that feedback for next year," Tanabe said to Autosport. 

Red Bull and Toro Rosso are sister teams but they are still different and there is an opportunity to learn from each other. 

“The teams differ from each other. We learn from both teams about other aspects of the engine. It is all more information that can help us improve. 

“We divide our attention among the teams equally. The specifications that we provide, the number of employees and the scale of the operation are the same for both teams. We will continue to maintain this style next year and forever."

Honda had a strong 2019 and would like to improve even further in 2020 and compete for the championship.
