Max Verstappen says it doesn't matter who he is fighting with on track, as long as its for the top positions as he aims to become the youngest F1 champion of all time in 2020. Verstappen is determined to succeed in F1, saying on multiple occasions that first is the only position that matters.

The season looks set up for Verstappen to take on Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton for the title in a battle F1 fans have been waiting for. Verstappen has just one season left to claim the title to become F1's youngest ever champion, but he says it doesn't matter who he is battling, as long as he's at the front.

He told media including GPBlog in Barcelona: "For me it doesn't matter who I'm fighting with, as long as it's first place. Doesn't matter if it's pink, red or silver gray. It also doesn't matter if I'm fighting a world champion or a rookie. I want to win.

"I hope we get a good start from the start and fight for those spots. In the end, if you look back on ten years of Formula 1, no matter who you've fought, we just want to win."

The Dutchman also had a few spins during the two weeks of testing, but he joked and said it was to give people something to talk about! He added: "I knew we had to talk about something, so I thought, let's do some spins. We want to try the limits and I think that worked well with a few spins, we know where that limit is now."
