Fernando Alonso becomes the protagonist in a new documentary series broadcast by Amazone Prime. The former Formula 1 driver was followed by the cameras of the American streaming service in 2019.

In 2019, the Spaniard was no longer part of the Formula 1 circus but in the World Endurance Championship he drove the 24 Hours of Le Mans, tried to qualify for the Indy 500 and was in preparation for the Dakar rally. This trip has been captured by Amazon and will be broadcast on their Prime platform in five parts. The name of the series will be simple but clear 'Fernando'.

Director of the production company The Mediopro Studio, Javier Mendez, is happy and enthusiastic about the new series: "It shows a personal image of a champion, a different image than we are used to of Fernando. The Spaniard is a winner and his goal last year was to show the world that he is the best driver in the world on four wheels", says Mendez opposite F1i.com.

The series will first be released in England, Spain, France, Italy and South America. That will happen later this year but when exactly is not clear yet.
