Formula 1 in the United States seems inconceivable in 2020 after MotoGP tax relief

The MotoGP competition at Circuit of the Americas has been cancelled, the promoters of the event announced Wednesday evening. The coronavirus situation in the United States does not allow to organize a Grand Prix in 2020. Chances are that this will also have consequences for Formula 1.

MotoGP's revised calendar was reported to include a spot for the American Grand Prix sometime in November, but because the number of contaminants continues to rise in Texas, a dash through the weekend was the only option.

No F1 in United States in 2020?

The United States Grand Prix for Formula 1 is also scheduled for November, so it seems unthinkable that the pinnacle of motorsport will travel to COTA. Liberty Media hopes to announce the complete calendar for the remaining part of 2020 soon, but when exactly this will happen is not yet known.

That's not so good news for Red Bull Racing. Max Verstappen has been quite competitive on the American tarmac with the Austrian race stable last year, but this year the RB16 doesn't seem to be able to compete there.
