It is still unclear what Sebastian Vettel is going to do next year. His seat at Ferrari is forgiven to Carlos Sainz and many other top teams are full. Maybe he will move to Racing Point, maybe he will retire. The German may also decide to take a year off, as former F1 driver Ralf Schumacher suggests.

At some point there will be no more sense

The brother of seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher says at Sky Germany: "Vettel might consider taking a year off. Because one thing is clear: after such a season - I have seen it happen myself after three years at Toyota - at some point you no longer feel like it. That is simply the case. It can happen, but it doesn't have to happen."

Whether Vettel will make it this far is a mystery to everyone, Schumacher hopes not. "We keep our fingers crossed that it is not the case with Sebastian. He is now also dealing with the situation in a more relaxed way. That may also have to do with the fact that he sees his expectations of himself and the team as somewhat more realistic."

However, Vettel has also had his moments that were questioned. At the same time, we are talking about a four-time champion: "At the last race, he was able to show that he can still do it, even against Charles, who is now starting to get a little impatient. This all suits him well", concludes Schumacher.
