Rosberg and Hamilton pick up the fight again as Rosberg joins Extreme E
Nico Rosberg will take on Lewis Hamilton for the first time in 2021. The two fought for the title in Formula 1 for years, but will now compete in an electric racing class.
Earlier this year it was announced that Hamilton would compete with his own team X44 in the new race class, Extreme E. This race class is dedicated to a better environment and will race through beautiful landscapes with the electric cars. Hamilton, however, will be joined in the series by his old rival.
New rivalry
Nico Rosberg has announced that in 2021 he will also participate in the championship with his team, Rosberg Extreme Racing (RXR). ''Great to be able to reveal this. It is an ideal opportunity for drivers to fight against climate change, because that is the greatest danger to our planet," said the German in a press release.
The Extreme E-Championship has five races and will start in Senegal on 23 January. The start will be in Lac Rose, Dakar. The other locations are in Saudi Arabia, Nepal, Greenland and Brazil. The last race will not take place until October 30th 2021.
