Carlos Sainz will leave McLaren at the end of 2020 and transfer to Ferrari. Usually this would be a great move, but Ferrari's struggles in 2020 make it less of an exciting move.

Sebastian Vettel must make way for Sainz at the end of 2020. A dream transfer for the Spaniard, who after two years of McLaren can already make the step to an even bigger team. By name at least, because in the standings and on the track McLaren is now far ahead of Ferrari. This has caused a few jokes at Sainz's expense.

Sainz laughed

''Occasionally there are some jokes here and there, also on social media, but I deal with them fairly easily. I'm not worried and I don't take it all that seriously. I hope I'm the last one who can laugh," says Sainz according to Motorsport-Magazin.com. Sainz is still driving for McLaren and will be looking for solid points in Portimao.

''I haven't done anything special ahead of this weekend, just a few more laps on the simulator maybe. There are a lot of blind corners here so it will be difficult to find your reference points. It took a bit longer to get here really fast so this will be a challenge for everyone," concludes the Spaniard.
