Racing Point has already had to call in a replacement for three Grands Prix this season because their drivers have had to be replaced at short notice. Nico Hulkenberg will not care, but questions are now being asked about the way Racing Point works.

Hulkenberg had to leave his terrace in Germany on Saturday during the Eifel Grand Prix to fly quickly to the Nürburgring. There he was needed again, because Lance Stroll was unwell and couldn't race. The fact that the Canadian had the corona virus only became apparent in retrospect and many people reacted indignantly. So how could Stroll have been on the paddock?

Racing Point tests more than anyone else

''I just want to let everyone know that we are testing more than anyone else. Not only in Formula 1, but also compared to all the other companies on the planet. We test all our staff before the event and after the event and have already done more than 15,000 tests," says Otmar Szafnauer according to Motorsportweek.com.

According to Szafnauer, Stroll's illness on Saturday in Germany does not necessarily mean he already had the virus. ''The two can be independent of each other. If we hadn't tested after the race, nobody would have noticed."
