This is the only way Ferrari can finish third in 2020

Charles Leclerc, Ferrari's young talent, has not yet given up hope for a third place in the constructors' standings, he said at a press conference today. With all the pressure on the next three races, the Italian team can't afford any mistakes.

Although it will be difficult for Ferrari to finish third in the 2020 standings with any glory, Leclerc still sees a way to third place and therefore a reason for hope. Finishing third in the constructors championship is "definitely the goal" for his team now, he says.

"We need three perfect weekends now. We have to concentrate on ourselves”, says de Monegask as quoted by Formel1.de. “It doesn't just depend on our own performance, but also on how consistently the other teams are on the remaining three weekends." Ferrari are currently ranked sixth with 130 points, but with only 24 points to the number three, Racing Point, all options are still open. "Realistically, it will be very, very difficult", admits Leclerc. 

Fresh hope

It is especially the last race in Turkey that the Ferrari team is hoping for. Surprisingly, the Scuderia drivers finished third and fourth on the Istanbul Park Circuit. The first challenger at the moment is Renault, which managed to secure a fifth place with a 6 point lead over Ferrari.
