Formula 1's 2021 season continues this weekend at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya for the Spanish Grand Prix.

Lewis Hamilton has a eight point lead over Max Verstappen in the drivers' championship after taking the win last time out at Portimao.

Hamilton overtook Verstappen and teammate Valtteri Bottas in spectacular fashion to secure his 97th career victory in F1.

Mercedes hasn't been beaten in qualifying at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya since 2012, so Red Bull has its work cut out for this weekend.

When is the Spanish Grand Prix? 

The 2021 Spanish Grand Prix takes place on Sunday, May 9. Cars will take to the track on Friday for FP1 and FP2, with FP3 and qualifying taking place on the Saturday.

Where is the Spanish Grand Prix taking place? 

The 2021 Spanish Grand Prix is held at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

The circuit is 4.675 km (2.905 mi) long and consists of 16 corners.

All 23 races this season are being shown exclusively live on Sky Sports F1, while extended highlights will be shown on Channel 4 later in the evening.
