Vettel won't give Verstappen advice: Lewis beat me!

Aston Martin F1 driver Sebastian Vettel has said he won't give Max Verstappen any advice on how to beat Lewis Hamilton, given that the German himself was beaten by the Mercedes driver.

Four-time Formula 1 world champion Sebastian Vettel has stated that Max Verstappen doesn't need any advice from him regarding his title battle with Lewis Hamilton given that the British driver already beat the former Ferrari man twice. Vettel who went up against Hamilton in both 2017 and 2018, failed to string together a decent set of performances and ultamately lost out to the Englishman on both occasions. Given his failure to trump Hamilton so far, Vettel thinks any advice from him would be redundant for Verstappen to use. "Obviously I didn’t succeed, Lewis (Hamilton) beat me, so it’s better not to give him any advice," Vettel told selected members of the media including RacingNews365.com. "It doesn’t work like this, I’m not giving him any advice, he wants to succeed, it’s a long year, there are a lot of races so, I don’t know." The German though thinks it's good for the sport to have two drivers from different teams competing for glory. "It’s great if you are fighting for the lead and you have two drivers, two different cars fighting each other," Vettel explained. "They are very close in pace and if you are very close in pace then you are fighting for the same spot on track more often, we will see how it pans out over the course of the year."
