Zak Brown current CEO of McLaren used to be a racing driver and soon he will be putting on the gloves again. Via a press release United Autosports announces that Brown will take place in the #230 McLaren 570S during the GT4-race at Zandvoort later this month.

For the first time since 2013

Brown will join Richard Dean in the races which will take place from 18 to 20 June at the Zandvoort circuit. This will be the third round in the GT4 championship and it will be the first time since 2013 that Brown will get behind the wheel again. In addition to Brown and Dean, the team - of which Brown is the owner - will be driving two other cars.

These two other cars are also McLarens and will be driven by Gus Bowers and Dean Macdonald, and Bailey Voisin and Charlie Fagg. United Autosports will therefore participate with three cars in the GT4-race. Brown is looking forward to the race after being absent for a number of years. His last appearance was in the British GT Championship in 2013, before that Brown competed in the Blancpain Endurance Series in 2012.

Brown: "I’m so excited to be getting back behind the wheel of a race car at Zandvoort. I have tested with the team in our McLaren a couple of times now and I’m so ready to head to Zandvoort to see what we can do. It will be nice to return to modern day racing, having focused on my historic racing for the last few years.

Of course, Charlie, Bailey, Gus and Dean are doing a fantastic job for us as our regular drivers, but Richard and I can’t wait to get back on track together.
" The team's third car is therefore not a regular feature in the championship but an additional entry specifically for the race at Zandvoort.
