Red Bull Racing has lost a number of key members to Aston Martin, but when that will be is still unclear. While Aston Martin wants the new technical leaders in as soon as possible, Christian Horner prefers to keep them around a bit longer.

Red Bull itself managed to lure a large number of staff away from Mercedes for their new engine project, but now it's feeling the pinch as well. Andrew Alessi and Luca Farbatto are not the least of the names on the list, but the biggest problems are around Aston Martin's new technical director Dan Fallows.

At Red Bull Racing until 2023

Fallows has already worked at Red Bull for fifteen years and after this long period, he was tempted to broaden his horizon at Aston Martin. He will then be given a crucial role as technical director. Otmar Szafnauer, therefore, wants to bring Fallows in as soon as possible, but at Red Bull, they think otherwise.

''Our situation with regard to Dan is very clear. He is working on the car, he is working on the car for next season. He has a significant period left in his contract. He signed a new deal at the end of last year, so we have a lot of time before it expires in mid-2023. We will keep him busy until the contract expires,'' the Red Bull Racing team boss said to Motorsport.com.
