Ricciardo concerned about Verstappen: 'Is there any news about Max?'

Whilst Lewis Hamilton was celebrating his British Grand Prix victory, Daniel Ricciardo was more concerned with his former teammate's state, even appearing emotional in front of the camera afterwards.

Ricciardo interrupted Ziggo Sport's pit reporter, to say: "Sorry, I wanted to ask if there was any news about Max. Is he okay? Jack Plooij then reports that Verstappen had a visit to the medical centre, after which he went to the hospital for a CT-scan because he was a bit dizzy.

When Ricciardo is then also told that the crash involved an impact of 51G on the body, he seems somewhat shocked. After being silent for a while the good friend of the Dutchman says: "Wow, That's huge", after which he crosses his fingers. Plooij then reassures Ricciardo by saying that Jos Verstappen has indicated that Max is doing well. " Good to know", Ricciardo said sounding visibly relieved.
