The fallout from Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen's coming together at the British GP continues, with Ralf Schumacher stating the Mercedes driver clearly made a mistake in trying to pass his Red Bull rival at Copse. Hamilton took he chequered flag after colliding with Verstappen on Lap 1, which sent the Dutchman crashing into the barriers and out of the race. Verstappen was later taken to and released from a local hospital, and Schumacher believes Hamilton was lucky nothing more serious happened given his move was borderline. "A mistake by Lewis, quite clearly," Ralf told Sport Bild. "That is not a place to overtake. Lewis was lucky that nothing more happened to Max. The action was borderline, it was quite an impact. "The duel will continue to come to a head. I hope that nobody gets injured. Hamilton and Verstappen are starting to remind me of Senna and Prost, the way they treat each other." As for the fight for the championship Schumacher is interested to see whether Mercedes can turn things in their favour given he believes Red Bull still haven't shown what they're capable of. "I'm curious to see if Mercedes can turn things around, because Red Bull still has a lot in its quiver and hasn't shown everything by a long shot," Schumacher added. "Mercedes still have the better engine, but there is something wrong with this car. You can also see that by the fact that they are driving with a lot of wing to have more downforce and are so slow on the straights."
