A Lewis Hamilton fan has hired a plane for £1,600 to fly a message in support of the British driver. Max Verstappen will be racing in his first home race as Formula 1 returns to the Netherlands for the first time in 36 years. He has the bulk of the support with the orange army, but the Hamilton fans aren't staying quiet.

Title battle heats up

In Hamilton's home Grand Prix, the biggest moment of the season occured between the two title rivals. They came together at Silverstone and Verstappen ended up in the barrier with a big impact. The Dutchman had to go to hospital.

In the build up to the Dutch Grand Prix, there has been a lot of talk about boos for Hamilton. Hamliton turned up at the circuit wearing an orange outfit. The message on the plane reads: "7 X WDC. Simply lovely" in reference to Hamilton's title.

According to The Sun, the fan said: "It's a cheeky opportunity to show Lewis some extra support as he steps into the lion's den here in Max's back yard. I hope, a small way to get one up on the 70,000 Dutch fans that will surround and outnumber us few Lewis and Mercedes fans here at the track this weekend. We may be few, but as Lewis says..still we rise!"
