The 2021 Formula 1 season continues this weekend with a trip to the famed Autodromo Nazionale di Monza for the Italian Grand Prix, capping off a run of three races in as many weekends.
Max Verstappen continued his championship push last time out by taking victory in front of 70,000 cheering Dutch fans at Zandvoort. The result saw him move three points clear of Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton in the Drivers' Championship.
While the Dutch GP marked F1's return to the tight and twisty Circuit Zandvoort for the first time since 1985, Monza is known as the 'Temple of Speed' as drivers will be full throttle for 80 percent of lap.
Expect another tight battle between Red Bull and Mercedes for top spot, though the grandstands will be a sea of red as Ferrari will be well supported by the lively Italian Tifosi.
When is the Italian Grand Prix?
The Italian Grand Prix will be held on September 12 around the 5.793km Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, near the city of Monza, north of Milan.
The race weekend will not follow a traditional format with qualifying taking place after FP1 on Friday, and the second Sprint Qualifying event of the season set for Saturday.
