Lewis Hamilton will have a new teammate in 2022. George Russell will replace Valtteri Bottas. With this move, many people's thoughts turn to the duel between Hamilton and Nico Rosberg, but Lewis is not worried about it.

Since 2017, Hamilton has not had to worry about internal strife. After four fierce years of battling with his teammate, he's faced little resistance from Valtteri Bottas since 2017. That could potentially change in 2022 with the arrival of Russell, but Lewis argues that he and the team have learned from the past.

Flashback to Rosberg

''I think history has shown that it can and history has shown that it can’t. It’s different in each team, and it is ultimately how it’s managed. But it’s quite a strange sport where it’s a team sport but it’s also an individual sport. So, you’ve got those two championships,'' Hamilton said ahead of the Italian Grand Prix, according to Evening Standard.

''Individually, you want to finish ahead but, at the same time, you’ve got to do the job to get the team ahead. So, it’s a difficult one to navigate through. But I’d like to think that we’ve experienced it and learned from it, and therefore we should be pretty well set moving forwards,'' the Mercedes driver concluded.
