'Andretti still has not taken over Sauber: deal not done this weekend'

The Andretti family is in the market to take over the Sauber team. The name Alfa Romeo Racing would disappear from Formula 1 as well but the signatures have not been put on the papers yet. In all probability that will not happen during the Grand Prix weekend in the United States.

Frederic Vasseur, Alfa Romeo's team principal, had hoped to announce who would drive alongside Valtteri Bottas next year at the end of September, but by now it is already the end of October. It seems that the troubles with the takeover have caused talks with candidates for the second seat to be put on hold.
