Pirelli has brought the same tyres for the Brazilian Grand Prix as they did in 2018. In 2019, the Italian tyre supplier opted for harder tyre compounds, but with the softer variants, Pirelli is hoping for more strategic variation.

Pirelli will take the C2, C3 and C4 compound for the Brazilian GP. With this Pirelli chooses the middle way, while during the last edition in 2019 harder tyres were brought. However, the hardest tyre was hardly used, which is why Pirelli has now decided to bring softer tyres.

''This year we return to a nomination more similar to the choice we made until 2018, where we used the C4 as the soft option. In 2019 we decided to go a step harder and tried to avoid grain formation and degradation on the soft, but as a result the hard tyre was not used much,'' said Mario Isola in the preview from Pirelli.

''This year's more versatile tyre selection should be able to meet the varied demands of the Brazilian Grand Prix and offer a number of different strategies. Although the race takes place around the same time of year as last time, the teams have not experienced sprint qualifying at Interlagos before, so there will be a lot to discover,'' concludes the Italian brand's chief executive.
