Sergio Perez will play a key role in Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing's bid for the world championship in the last two Grands Prix of the season in Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi. The Mexican will be instrumental in winning the drivers' and constructors' championships.

According to Formule1.nl Perez said: "That would be huge for me, very special to help the team to the constructors' title. It's great to have that fight, we have to do our best and then we'll see where we end up." The veteran himself is fourth in the championship, 13 points behind Valtteri Bottas.

The difference between Red Bull and Mercedes in the constructors' standings is less: five points. Perez is confident: "Everything is still on the table, the last two races are very important for the team. It's going to be exciting with Mercedes, hopefully we finish ahead of them," said the 31-year-old driver, who at the press conference was also able to allay some concerns about the RB16B's rear wing: "It's under control, we don't have any problems with it. We have different wings at our disposal."

In Qatar, the Austrian formation would have driven with an older specification of the rear wing, due to problems with the DRS flap. The DRS was flapping in the wind on the straights, something that shouldn't happen. According to Perez, a solution should be available at the circuit of Jeddah.
