Sergio Perez will start from P5 in the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix. His teammate was due to be on pole but crashed in the final sector in Q3. Red Bull Racing will now have to fight back against Mercedes on a narrow street circuit.

The Mexican insists that "anything can happen" in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and is hopeful his team can fight back. "Still a lot to play for. Tomorrow there is much to play for, it's a long race so anything can happen. We just have to be on it," Perez told Sky Sports

Tough lap for Perez

In Friday practice, Perez struggled to keep up with the three top drivers but closed the gap in FP3. Perez explains that he couldn't get the tyres in the best working conditions during Q3 and that's why he starts on the third row of the grid.

"Not an ideal session, especially come Q3. I just picked up a lot of understeer all of a sudden. I did a sighter lap on the soft and it was all good. The tyre is so picky, you have to be in the right spot otherwise the balance is totally different. A shame we didn't get the lap we were hoping to," Perez added.
