Yuki Tsunoda is expecting Safety Car "traffic jams" on the Miami Grand Prix weekend after getting his first taste of the track on Red Bull's simulator. The AlphaTauri driver is one of only a handful of drivers to have lapped the new circuit, albeit virtually, ahead of the inaugural race at the Miami International Autodrome. Impressed by the overtaking opportunities that will be on offer, Tsunoda was full of praise for the layout, but admits that he is wary of a twisty section of track in the circuit's final sector. The section of track that caught Tsunoda's eye sees the walls close in around a long right-hander (Turn 12), before the cars head into a slow-speed chicane underneath Florida's Turnpike highway. The drivers will then exit the chicane in single-file, before turning sharply left and blasting down the track's 1.3-kilometre back straight.

Tsunoda believes that this could potentially cause some issues with traffic, and is curious to see how the action unfolds. "It's really different, especially in sector three, with such tight corners," Tsunoda told members of the media, including RacingNews365.com . "If a Safety Car happens, I guess it's gonna be like a real traffic jam there. "It's super tight. Even on a hot lap, they're still quite slow corners. It's going to be interesting to see." Tsunoda has echoed the view of Valtteri Bottas in that he expects the track to provide opportunities to make moves. "Overtaking will be key for that track and I'm really looking forward to it," the Japanese driver added.
