Tsunoda and AlphaTauri on brink of ten-place grid drop

AlphaTauri's Yuki Tsunoda could spend the rest of the season fighting to dodge a reprimand after picking up a fourth warning in Monaco.

Yuki Tsunoda is on the verge of being handed a ten-place grid penalty after landing yet another reprimand by the stewards. The AlphaTauri driver was warned for getting in the way of Haas' Kevin Magnussen during Friday practice at the Monaco Grand Prix. It is the fourth time this season that the Red Bull junior has been received such a warning as he edges closer to a punishment.

Tsunoda must avoid warning for 16 races

Having previously been reprimanded for hindering Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel at previous race weekends, and for driving "unnecessarily slowly" during qualifying in Australia, Tsunoda could soon land a ten-place grid drop. That will be the punishment should he receive just one more reprimand between now and the end of the season, with 16 races (including Sunday's Monaco Grand Prix) still to go in 2022.
