McLaren CEO Zak Brown is hoping McLaren will bounce back from a disappointing Canadian Grand Prix with a double points finish at Silverstone this weekend. "We think this track suits our car a little bit more. The last three races have been tough but our cars take well around here, but when you go to your home race, you tend to raise your game a little bit," Brown told Sky Sports. "I'm not sure why but you just do. And so we're going to be giving it all we've got and hopefully, we'll get two cars in the points." Brown added that the team are working hard to give their drivers a car that will enable them to push further up the order. "We need to give both our drivers a car that's capable of getting to the front on a more regular basis," he said.
'Our relationship with Daniel is great'
In recent weeks, there has been speculation over the future of Daniel Riccardo, with several outlets hinting that the Australian's poor form could spell the end of his time with the Woking squad. However, Brown was quick to explain that things are all well between the team and Ricciardo, as they all pull together to turn their performances around. "We're all working super hard and our relationship with Daniel is great," said Brown. "I know there's been quite a bit of noise around some of the commentary when all we were doing was being honest." "Daniel said the same thing, we're not getting the results that we want - but that doesn't mean we're not trying super hard to give them a better race car."
