McLaren hopes to convince at the Singapore Grand Prix, but to do so, Andreas Seidl says there is still a lot of work to be done. Indeed, the British formation's team boss is far from satisfied with the results in Monza.

"Reflecting on Monza, we came away with mixed feelings," he assessed in McLaren's press release. "There were positives in the pace we had throughout the weekend, but Daniel’s retirement meant we lost valuable points in the Constructors’ Championship."

Ricciardo retired with engine problems at the end of the race, ending it behind the safety car. Lando Norris did manage to finish the race weekend in full, but the Briton did not move beyond seventh position. That left McLaren with six points from the GP.

Towards Singapore GP with confidence

Seidl tries not to dwell too long on the past and focuses on next race weekend in Singapore. The team boss has seen how the people at McLaren worked hard to fix the problems, hoping to end the season nicely with this.

"However, the team have worked hard over the last fortnight following the intense triple header to put us in a good position for the final stretch of the season. We’re fully focused on finishing the campaign strongly by scoring as many points as possible in the final six races."
