Mick Schumacher has to leave Haas F1 due to disappointing results, but the driver blames himself little. While on the one hand he had to get used to Formula 1, he states in conversation with Auto, Motor und Sport that he also did not have a car with which he could easily finish in the points.

A talented driver, he made the switch to Haas in 2021, where he teamed up with Nikita Mazepin. However, both drivers had an inferior car, failing to score any points. This season, Schumacher teamed up with Kevin Magnussen and fared a little better, but it was not enough for the Americans to continue with him.

Meanwhile, Nico Hulkenberg's name sounded several times in the corridors. Schumacher was reportedly instructed during that period to get more out of his car and finish in the points more often. However, he did not get that done often enough.

Schumacher, however, was not concerned with his possible successor, he told the medium. "Hardly, actually," he reveals about that. "All I could do was do my best and drive my races. The team knew what I could do."

Schumacher realistic about possibilities

He also did not feel the pressure on his performance increasing. "Points were a goal of all of us. We had plenty of opportunities to deliver them, but unfortunately there were also plenty of reasons why it didn't work out. We could have had a lot more points if one or two situations had gone differently."
