As a Dutchman, not only does Max Verstappen have his own documentary, but the racing life of Rinus 'VeeKay' van Kalmthout will soon be on our screens as well. Amazon Prime Video has made a three-part documentary about the IndyCar driver.

The Dutch talent, during the 2022 IndyCar season, has been followed by cameras in the run-up to the famed Indianapolis 500. Not only VeeKay will be featured the documentary, family members and mentor Arie Luyendyk will also be featured.

Boost for IndyCar?

Formula 1 has received a huge boost, courtesy of 'Drive to Survive' on Netflix. Perhaps this documentary by Prime Video can do the same for IndyCar - especially in Europe.

"I obviously greatly welcome the fact that Amazon Prime Video is highlighting the NTT INDYCAR Series. I feel honoured as an ambassador for the Benelux to represent these wonderful racing series, which I have been a part of for four seasons this year. Hopefully this documentary will provide the IndyCar Series with a boost in the Netherlands and Belgium, so that a VeeKay grandstand at Indianapolis can be built alongside the Verstappen grandstands in Formula 1," VeeKay said in a press release.

'VeeKay' will be available exclusively on Amazon Prime Video from 10 February.
