Sauber explain 'important' goal for final Alfa Romeo season

With the partnership between Sauber and Alfa Romeo entering into its final season, Team Representative Alessandro Alunni Bravi is keen for the journey to end on a high.

Sauber and Alfa Romeo have an "important" goal in mind for the final year of their partnership, new Team Representative Alessandro Alunni Bravi has stated. The squad's branding deal with Alfa Romeo will come to an end at the close of 2023, ahead of Sauber's transition into becoming an Audi works team in 2026. When asked at the launch of the outfit's C43 car if there could be a change of dynamic in the season ahead given the impending exit of Alfa Romeo, Alunni Bravi praised the positive impact of the partnership. "I'm happy to have this opportunity to speak about Alfa Romeo," Alunni Bravi – who has been part of the Sauber Group since 2017 – told media, including RacingNews365.com . "Alfa Romeo will be with us for the sixth season and [it] will be a very important season. "We started in 2018 with Alfa Romeo, I was personally there, and Alfa Romeo has been instrumental for the growth of the team."

Sauber keen for positive end to Alfa Romeo partnership

Alunni Bravi is hopeful that Sauber and Alfa Romeo can experience a strong end to their time together. "[The two sides have been] able together to attract partners, but also to be credible, to show what is our long [term] vision as Sauber," he explained. "So this season is super important. We will do everything to deliver the very best for Alfa Romeo, for our partners. "We are delighted to bring the Alfa Romeo red colour on the car. "It's not [being viewed as the] last season, [it] is a season [where] we complete this journey together and we want to finish on a high."
