Alonso defiant despite nightmare F1 season: ‘I’m the best’

The F1 machinery at his disposal this season is clearly lagging, but the self-belief fueling Fernando Alonso remains entirely untouched. While rivals chase victories and championships, the two-time world champion has been trapped in the midfield by an Aston Martin project that has so far failed to deliver on its enormous promise.
